The Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, invites applications for a tenure or tenure-track (Assistant or Associate Professor) position in any area within the field of marketing.

Applicants will be considered for a Canada Research Chair (CRC) Tier 2 appointment.

The Canada Research Chairs program (www.chairs.gc.ca was established by the Government of Canada to foster world-class research excellence.  As stated in the CRC Program Details, "Tier 2 Chairs, tenable for five years and renewable once, are for exceptional emerging researchers, acknowledged by their peers as having the potential to lead in their field."  Appointment of the successful candidate as a Canada Research Chair is conditional upon review and approval by the CRC Secretariat.

Suitable candidates will have a track record of publications in top tier marketing journals.  Evidence of teaching excellence is expected.  Candidates must have a PhD in an appropriate field.  Proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting and publishing research in top tier journals, supervising graduate students, and service to the School’s academic activities.  The Alberta School of Business has an energetic PhD program and the successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in its continuing success and development.
