As Director of Driver Education, you’ll oversee a team of people across our Novice and Fleet operations, the Alberta Impaired Drivers Program (AIDP) and Aging Drivers program.

What you’ll do

You’ll be responsible for the overall performance of AMA Driver Education, including revenue growth and maximizing net income

You’ll be accountable for short- and long-term results – and will report those results to senior executives and boards

You’ll ensure that our Driver Education program delivers an innovative, high-quality experience to members and customers of all ages

From time to time, you’ll be required to represent AMA at CAA/AAA levels, within the community and media

You’ll be responsible for increasing overall effectiveness, efficiency and profitability through operational improvements and smart resourcing

Assess business risks, and ensure safe work practices

You’ll be responsible for 4 direct reports and approximately 70 staff overall.


What you’ve done

You have a degree in business management.  If your degree is in something else, tell us how it will help you in this role

You’re no newbie – you already have 10 years of experience in a senior management role

You know all the ins and outs of major fleet operations and driver learning. Bonus if you have experience in the area of aging drivers

You’ve got solid experience in the development and management of short- and long-term operation and financial plans

You know how to get big results in a short amount of time

You come from a customer service-driven environment and strive to ensure that customers always come first
