The Opportunity

The Technical Services Specialist is primarily responsible for directly interfacing with the Market Sales Specialists and Branch Managers to drive Technical Services business opportunities brought to the table by the Safety Kleen branch team. Supporting a highly profitable $25 million dollar piece of business.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Interface daily with the branch network and Market Sales Managers (MSSs) at the Safety Kleen branches located within their geographic region. Meet with the branches and MSSs to identify Technical Services opportunities focusing on transportation and disposal. Assist with visiting customers to capture work.

Prepare clean pack, drum, bulk and direct ship quotes for opportunities in their region either directly or utilizing the Technical Services support team located in Norwell, MA. Have dialogues daily with the Branch Managers, MSSs and Technical Services General Managers to identify the specific scope of work and pricing required to capture work.

Complete all the preparation work to allow a job to be scheduled including accurate profiles, securing credit and contracts. Interface directly with customers to resolve any issues with the quote or profiles. Work with the Outbound Department and Direct Ship team to identify third party disposal sites and pricing for waste most effectively handled outside the CHES network

Coordinate with the Technical Services branches in their region including the Customer Service team and Clean Pack Specialists to assure a job is scheduled promptly.

Follow-up with customers after service to assure quality of service and develop relationships to assure future work

Approve invoices for billing after review and manage collections of SK driven revenues.

Support minimum of $225K in business monthly and complete 35 quotes per Technical Sales Specialist with in their region

Travel within their region both independently and with Technical Services Specialists and General Managers to visit current and potential customers and secure new business

Quickly learn to navigate the Computer systems that run the Clean Harbors operations including WIN and BEACON

 

Key qualifications:

 

Degree or diploma in Chemistry or related field preferred

1-3 years field chemist experience

1-3 years Sales experience

Valid Driver’s License

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good interpersonal Skills, ability to interact with people at different levels and customers

Good Organizational Skills
