We are seeking a results-oriented leader to fulfill the role of General Manager for one of our Edmonton Centres.  The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 5 years of management experience in the Home Services or HVAC industries; and has strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain a successful team.    

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Full P&L responsibility for the Centre

Plan, coordinate and direct the overall operations of the Centre, including field sales, service delivery, and customer service

Accountable for sales growth and overall profitability of the Centre

Execute the Centre’s training plan to ensure quality service delivery

Assist Service Technicians and other technical staff with major problems as necessary, and ensure key processes are created/maintained ensuring department effectiveness and efficiency

Coordinate inventory management with Centre supervisors (parts and equipment)

Responsible for local assets assigned to the Centre (vehicles, computers, facility, etc

Develop and maintain an active role in the local community (business networking organizations, community activity involvement, etc

Ensure work is conducted in compliance with provincial and local regulations and in accordance with licensing requirements

 

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of management experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration and / or Home Services industries

Excellent people management and leadership skills, including training and coaching skills

Demonstrated ability to positively influence sales and profitability

Experience working with financial data, margin calculations, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem solving, planning and organizational skills

A complete and thorough understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint 

Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of customer-focused service and installations
