Position Summary:

 Reporting to the Team Lead, Asset & Vendor Management, the Hardware Asset Management Analyst is responsible for distributed hardware asset management which may include: development and implementation of standard processes and procedures, management of the technology refresh program, asset investigations and reconciliation, and creation of purchase requisitions, vendor and client communication, cycle-counts, data entry and the creation of standard reports. The Hardware Asset Management Analyst also provides quotes and delivery of products and services to customers. In this role you will also be required to provide back up for the “Stock Room” deploying equipment.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Responsibility Area #1 – Maintains hardware inventory tracking systems.

  Updates and  maintains the hardware asset database.

  Maintains Fixed Assets, Inventory Control, Asset Life Cycle, Billing, VPN, and other  related records in their applicable databases.

  Maintains Documentation Management, List Management,   and  Information Control on   applicable SharePoint sites.

  Provides regular   status reports related to implementation and scheduling, and respond to   related customer inquires and concerns.

  Performs regular   physical and electronic audits (cycle counts) of existing hardware.

  Produce monthly hardware   reports on usage and status, as well as ad hoc report requests.

 

Responsibility Area #2 – Supports corporate asset management initiatives.

  Responds to service   requests and customer inquires for hardware information and  product delivery.

  Develops and implements   hardware inventory processes and procedures.

  Maintains and monitors  inventory control systems.

  Manages the technology  life-cycle program for WIPRO workstations, laptops and printers, coordinating   efforts with various internal and external groups.

  Investigates inventory discrepancies, identify root-cause, and implement corrective action plans.

 

Responsibility Area #3 – Supports Asset & Vendor Management team and departmental initiatives.

  Coordinates with other   team members to ensure consistency in processes and practices.

  Trains new and seasonal   employees on inventory procedures and practices.

  Provides backup and   support for Hardware Asset Management Administrator.

 

Scope/Complexity of Work:

The Hardware Asset Management Analyst manages the distributed hardware assets, develops and implements  standard processes and procedures, performs data entry, creates standard  reports, and manages technology refresh program. The Hardware Asset     Management Analyst also performs asset investigations and reconciliation, creates  purchase requisitions, and engages in vendor and client communication, and cycle-counts. In addition, the Hardware Asset Management Analyst provides quotes and delivery of products and services to customers.

Strong MS Access and SQL knowledge and skills
