Marketing Coordinator

Scope:

We are currently looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Edmonton City Centre team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for all actions related to the marketing plan including advertising and promotional activities and also follow directions given by the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the coordination & development of events for the centre

Assist with the research and development of the marketing plan.

Update digital media - website CMS and social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)

Develop programs with downtown associations

Promote gift cards

Build relationships with merchants for stronger mall participation in events

Assist with customer service requirements i.e. explanation of promotions

Assist with writing and administering various reports

Administer placement of on mall promotional signage and event requirements

Administer all arrangements for community displays and events

Supervise promotional activities/events during weekday/weekend.

Know how to use and understand online analytics

Familiar with Photoshop and design programs (enough to at least be able to talk to a designer/agency)

Prepare award submissions

Publicity tracking

Good at writing (blogs, content creation, mall memos etc

Tenant coordination for advertising material

Code invoices

Assist with the development and maintenance of the marketing budget

Assist in promotions and events

Publication of various print material

Coordinate in-mall signage

Oversee not for profit leasing

Qualifications:

Completion of a Degree/Diploma in Public Relations/Marketing or related experience

3 years experience in marketing

Digital media - website content management system, and social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication, advanced knowledge of social media platforms, and best practices.

Ability to communicate internally and externally with professionalism, courtesy and credibility

Experience writing, editing and crafting content for the social media space

Ability to work independently, set day-to-day goals and meet commitments

Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities

Strong project management skills

Detail-oriented

Cross-functional team player

Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
